Policy A08 - Scheduled Early Arrivals at SFL Expense

Purpose

To justify the expense and authorize the reimbursement for those attendees who should arrive before the International Week begins.

Policy

It is SFL policy for all attendees, guides, skiers, and volunteers to pay their own way for participation in the International Week. However, it is also SFL policy for SFL to cover double room and board costs for those who must arrive early to attend the annual board meeting, and for those who perform essential roles in the operation of the International Week. Those eligible for such covered costs are:

• For three nights: All SFL Directors (including Directors Emeritus) and Guide Training Coordinators.
• For two nights: Guide Trainers, Guide and VIP Applications Coordinators, MIP Coordinator, Housing and Registration Coordinator, Hotel Functions Coordinator, Ski Site and Trail Coordinator, and Information Room Coordinator.
• For one night: first and second year guides and other guides attending guide training.

In addition to those listed above, other members of the Event Planning Committee may be authorized to arrive early by the Event Chair in consultation with the SFL President.
