Policy B05 - Acceptance of Other Attendees

Purpose

To outline the roles and responsibilities of those wishing to attend the Ski for Light event who are not instructor/guides or disabled skiers.

Policy

Ski for Light welcomes individuals wishing to attend the event who are not instructor/guides or disabled skiers. Referred to as "Other Attendees," these individuals generally fall into three broad groups:

• Worker-bees: To make the operations of the International Week run efficiently, SFL relies on nonskiing individuals to perform a variety of tasks.
• Companions: People who attend the entire week with a spouse or friend. Companions are encouraged to assist with event activities.
• Guests: Dignitaries or others who attend just part of the week, usually to be part of Norway Night and the closing banquet festivities.

Acceptance to the event as a Worker-Bee, Companion or Guest depends on the amount of available space in the event hotel.

Other Attendees pay the same applicable fees as guides or skiers, and must sign the Waiver of Liability.
